Moss to Face Team that Traded Him Away

The paths of wide receivers Laveranues Coles and Santana Moss again will intersect Sunday when the Washington Redskins play the New York Jets at the Meadowlands.

Coles will welcome the team he played for from 2003 to 2004, while Moss will return to the place he called home from 2001 to 2004.

Moss said he doesn’t pay attention to how Coles is doing.

“It’s what Santana can do to help this team,” Moss said. “Nothing else matters to me. We hung out at times, but … we don’t call each other on a day-to-day basis.”

The skins corrected a mistake when they put back Coles where he belongs. You couldn’t get a decent game out of Coles. Moss has demonstrated he is at the top of the “Class” receivers in the game. He is the “go to” man when the skins need a catch. Even though, there is excitement about the new rookies, they’ll only help take some of the double coverage off of Moss. If the rookies are smart, they’ll keep their mouths shut, listen and learn from Moss and the coaches. The rookies need to understand that you can’t learn a thing with your mouth open. Maybe some day, the rookies may reach Moss’s level, but not right away. Remember, Moss beat Dallas single handed one game.

Moss is the best receiver on the redskins lets go beat the jets in preseason and the regular season.
